How to use GM RPL Mode?

GM RPL stands for Risk Priority Levels, a method adopted by General Motors to replace the traditional Risk Priority Number (RPN) and/or Action Priority (AP) in FMEA.

Enabling GM RPL Mode

  • Activate GM’s RPL Mode within the Risk Management Suite. This effectively overrides the default 4th Edition RPN and AIAG VDA AP calculations, ensuring all risk records comply with GM’s RPL requirements.

Note: When this feature is enabled, Enterprise CORE automatically calculates and displays results based on the GM RPL ruleset, helping users assess risk and understand the impact of potential failure modes using this classification.
