Core View is Enterprise CORE’s unique interface that integrates the Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plan into a single, unified view.
Core View is one of several views available to help manage your FMEA data. It provides a consolidated display of related information, allowing you to see how data elements connect within a single screen.
Tip: This view is especially useful when importing data, as it helps ensure that proper linkages are established between the Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plan.
Choosing which worksheets a row appears in
Each row in Core View has three Visibility checkboxes: Process Flow (PF in Compact Mode), PFMEA and Control Plan (CP in Compact Mode). When a box is checked, the row appears in that worksheet and its exports. When it is unchecked, the row is left out. To change the checkboxes, select Edit in Core View.
Deleting a row from the Control Plan
Each row is a single record that Core View, the Process Flow, the PFMEA and the Control Plan all share. If you delete a row in any of these views, it is deleted from all of them. To remove a row from the Control Plan only, uncheck CP for that row in Core View instead.
Imported rows missing from the Control Plan
Rows you import in Core View are added to the Process Flow, the PFMEA and the Control Plan. Rows you import in a single view, such as the PFMEA, are added only to that view and to Core View. To show them in the Control Plan, check CP for those rows in Core View.
The AIAG & VDA "functional network"
In AIAG & VDA templates, the function network is shown as the columns under Function Analysis (Step 3). These are the functions of the process item (1a, 1b, 1c), the process step (2a) and the process work element (3a), together with their product and process characteristics. Form G (Alternative) templates have no 1a, 1b or 1c Function of the Process Item columns. Worksheets show this as rows. A graph or network diagram view is not available.
Leaving Core View
Use the view dropdown in the worksheet toolbar to switch to Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, or DFMEA.
