Your Control Plan, PFMEA and Process Flow are views of a workbook's worksheet. You open them from the Program Tree.
Open your Control Plan
- In the Program Tree, expand your Program, then the Part, then the Part Revision.
- Select the Workbook. Its panel opens.
- Select the Worksheets tab.
- In the worksheet toolbar, open the view drop-down and choose Control Plan. The same drop-down lists Core View, Process Flow, PFMEA and DFMEA.
Tip: Core View shows the Process Flow, PFMEA and Control Plan together in one view. DFMEA is a separate worksheet with its own columns.
Shortcut: Click the Search (magnifying glass) icon at the top of the Program Tree, type the workbook or part name and press Enter.
Why do I only see the Part?
- The Part is collapsed. Expand the Part, then the Part Revision, to see its workbooks. If other branches close when you open one, open Settings in the right sidebar, select Program Tree, turn on Keep nodes expanded and click Apply.
- The workbook is deactivated and hidden. Open Settings in the right sidebar, select Program Tree, turn off Hide deactivated items and click Apply.
- The workbook is restricted. You only see a restricted workbook if you created it or belong to an assigned Group. See Why can't I see Parts or Workbooks that other colleagues can see?
- There is no workbook yet. Add one (see below).
Tip: If you lose your place, click Locate in Program Tree at the top-left of the components panel.
How do I add a Control Plan?
Every workbook includes the Control Plan view, so you add a workbook rather than a separate Control Plan:
- In the Program Tree, click the three-dot menu on the Part Revision and choose Add New Workbook.
- Enter a Workbook Name, choose a Status and click Save.
- Open the Worksheets tab and choose Control Plan from the view drop-down.
Note: In CTS, workbooks were called Projects and worksheets were called Forms.
